Testimony of Claudine Van Reenen

Interviewed by Pastor Dre Henderson

8 May 2024

How was your life before you came to have a personal relationship with Jesus?

Claudine says that she always thought that she knew God. She thought that going to church on a Sunday and paying your tithes and doing things that Christians do, meant that you know Christ.

She says she thought that if she done all those things, that you can be classified as saved but she did not have a relationship with God.

How did you end up changing?

Claudine remembers her son asking if there was a rehab where they offered spiritual cleansing.

He was smoking weed at the time. Claudine done some research and found a place that charged eight thousand rand a month, but her son was not happy with the amount, and she decided to do more research and came across Victory Outreach.

Claudine then went to Victory Outreach church the Sunday and her son was standing right next to her, but she did not recognize him.

She was so amazed at her son’s transformation and started to read her Bible diligently.

Claudine also attended the support group at Victory Outreach and had people supporting and praying for her.

What is God doing in your life today?

Today Claudine serves in the ministry. She helps with hospitality and sings in the choir. Her children love going to church and she enjoys it too. Claudine also took part in an Easter play recently and says that God is really working in her life and her family’s lives.

Words of encouragement from Claudine:

“Don’t give up on your children. Don’t stop praying for children. Because God really answers prayers. God sees your heart. Hears your silent prayers.

He sees your tears and the Bible says in Proverbs 22vs6 “train up a child in the way he should go even when he is old he will not depart from it.” That’s all I can say is just don’t stop praying for your children, God bless you.”
