“Fruits of Our Faith”

We all desire to be fruitful… this brings out the question, how do I become fruitful in my faith?

Producing good fruit requires a process. That process requires pruning…

John 15:1-2 NKJV

“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. “Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.

Pruning is necessary in order to reap a greater, more fruitful harvest…

If we want to be more fruitful, we have to be willing to be pruned and let some “fruit” go…

We have to have faith in God and trust His pruning process for our lives…

“Left to itself a vine will produce a good deal of unproductive growth. For maximum fruitfulness extensive pruning is essential.”

“It is always better to be pruned to grow than to be cut up to burn.”

In order to be fruitful in our faith we need…

1.       VISION

We are a vision driven ministry… and the fruit of our faith as a ministry has grown us from a small little church in east Los Angeles to the largest inner city ministry in the world with hundreds of continents throughout different continents

Proverbs 29:18 KJV

Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

The Bible makes it clear that there is no life without vision.

“The only thing worse than being born without sight is being born with sight and no vision.”

Habakkuk 2:2-4 NKJV

Then the LORD answered me and said: “Write the vision

And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it.

For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it;

Because it will surely come, It will not tarry.

“Behold the proud,

His soul is not upright in him; But the just shall live by his faith.

Vision from the Lord, the word of the Lord, will always cause us to run… to make progress, to advance, to move forward…

Habakkuk was speaking vision for the future… for an appointed time… the conquest and victory would not be seen in his time but in the future… THE POWER OF FAITH FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS WAS NOT ONLY EVIDENT IN THE BIBLE BUT IT IS STILL EVIDENT TODAY!

The Vision of the Lord for our lives, no matter how long it takes to come to fruition, “will not lie”.

In order to be fruitful in our faith we need…

2.       VALOR

1 Samuel 16:18 NKJV

Then one of the servants answered and said, “Look,

I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, who is skillful in playing, a mighty man of valor, a man of war, prudent in speech, and a handsome person; and the LORD is with him.”

VALOR: great courage in the face of danger, especially in battle; bravery; fearlessness…

David consistently showed valor throughout his life… this led him to live a life of VICTORY.

In order to be fruitful in our faith we need…

3. Victory in our lives.

David lived a life of victory…

Victory over his enemies, victory over his own struggles and failures, victory over power and control…

How did David NEVER lose a battle?… He always engaged with God first. David consistently sought the Lord first.

Matthew 6:33 NKJV

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

David never lost a battle because he always sought God for a solution instead of acting like he knew it all, and he always glorified God for the victory.

Time and time again we read scriptures that say “DAVID ENQUIRED OF THE LORD”… His victory

was found before the battle ever started because he put his faith in God and trusted Him for the strategy to be fruitful!
