Testimony of Charne

Interviewed by Pastor Dre Henderson

7 February 2024

How was your life like before you got saved?

Charne says that she was never really a girl that was up to mischief, in fact, people used to call her kerk suster. She says that she was a victim of bullying and that she was bullied by the people she called friends.

It was not just friends but teachers and parents as well. She says that this bullying led to bitterness, hatred and so much trust issues.

testimony of Charne

How did you end up changing?

Charne says that she began changing when she came to the realization that the bullying, she experienced was a spiritual thing, it happened in the same year her dad passed on. She says that she knows the enemy was after her light and joy.

Charne listened to Psalm 91 verse 5 -8 that you shall not be afraid of the terror by night nor the arrow that flies by day nor the pestilence that walks in darkness nor the destruction that lays waste at noonday.

A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand but it shall not come near you. Only with your eyes shall you see the reward of the wicked.

Charne says that this scripture was revealed to her in real life and that she realized that God deserved more than she was giving Him, which is why she got saved.

How is God using your life today?

God is using Charne to help bring the youth closer to God. She enjoys encouraging young girls in church and in her community.

A word of encouragement from Charne:

“I 100% recommend Jesus. Whatever you do run to Him, cry to Him. Go before Him. Don't do anything with your own strength. Ask Him for guidance. You should never leave the house without praying or reciting Psalm 91 for protection and Ephesians chapter 6 verses 10-20 to put on the whole armor of God.

Know you are in Christ, and you will never be shaken. The more you fill yourself with the truth of the word and believe it you'll be able to see how differently you will react to anyone coming against you.

You are a child of God it says in Deuteronomy chapter 28 verse 13 and the Lord will make you the head and not the tail.

You shall be above only and not beneath. So do not be afraid of people going against you or saying bad things about you. Just be still. It says in Exodus 14 verse 14 The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.”
