Testimony of Jamie September

Interviewed by Pastor Dre Henderson

13 December 2023

How was your life like before you got saved?

testimony of Jamie September

Jamie was addicted to Tik for 16 years, she says she thought she was a functional addict, one who was working and doing what ordinary people do.

She says she was still hurting, and her life was dysfunctional because she was looking for love in the wrong places.

Jamie says that she was in a toxic relationship and felt like she knew she would be killed because of it and yet she was okay with it.

She says she had no hope, strength fight or drive within her at all.

How did you end up changing?

Jamie says that God took her to a place in her life where she had nothing and no one. She felt like she was in deep darkness.

One day she recalls being beaten up badly, she questioned God and asked Him for one more chance. God allowed for her to be placed in the Women’s recovery Home where she got the support she needed.

How is God using your life today?

Jamie has graduated the Recovery Home and has recently separated herself to be in the UTC – which is a Bible college where she was trained and developed in the call of God.

She now serves in the Women’s Home, where she helps other women to overcome.

Words of encouragement from Jamie:

“If you are in that place where I use to be, that is not the end for you. There's so much more God has in store for us. Sometimes we are in a situation, and we don’t understand why, or we think that that's all there is to life. I have news for you today; that's not all there is.

Once you put your faith, your trust and you believe in God, His words is that you should knock and the door will be open, you shall ask and you shall receive and I believe that firmly today so if you are there and you are going through trials and tribulations – know that He will never leave nor forsake you .”
