Post Traumatic Stress Recovery.

How was your life like before you came to know the Lord?

Alicia says that she was a broken young woman who was suffering from PTSD which manifested itself into bipolar depression, she says that she was on all sorts of medication to manage it.

How did you end up changing?

Alicia says that change came about only through Jesus. She says she was saved at the young age of 13 but did not have someone to guide her into a relationship with God.

Alicia says that even while she was going through PTSD, she had kept on speaking to God and kept believing that God created her for more than what she was facing at the time.

At the age of 34 she rebuked the devil and decided to put all her trust in God. She says that she put things in place so that she could get to know God more intimately.

How is God using your life today?

Alicia says that she quit her job last year and now finds herself in full-time ministry.

She is currently helping with the Victory Outreach Pollsmoor ministry outreach, that helps to speak life into the people who may have lost hope. Alicia also assists with the churches’ Admin.

Words of encouragement from Alicia:

“You need to surrender, and you need to accept our Lord and savior into your life, that is the first step because ultimately, it’s the Lord’s report that matters.

I was told that I would have bipolar disorder and be taking medication for the rest of my life, what a lie from the enemy. Nothing, absolutely nothing is impossible with God.

You can overcome and you can be victorious and have and live that life of abundance if you surrender and allow God and allow the Holy Spirit to take full control of your journey. What He did for me, He can definitely do for you and so much more.”
