Testimony of Dilano Atkins

Interviewed by Pastor Dre Henderson

14 February 2024

How was your life like before you got saved?

Before Dilano came to know Christ, he says he was busy with all the wrong stuff, drinking, smoking, going to parties and wanting to fit in.

He says that he grew up in a good household but still felt like it was not enough and that he wanted more from life which is what led him to drinking and smoking.

How did you end up changing?

When covid hit, Dilano’s family was without a church but his mother was the only one saved in the house. Dilano’s mother heard about Victory Outreach on CCFM and then she went to visit the church.

Eventually his mom took them to church with her and that’s where he fell in love with Jesus.

Dilano says as time passed, he no longer wanted what he used to and started to distance himself from his old life.

How is God using your life today?

Dilano now confidently shares his testimony with others and encourages people that God is able to change you and place a calling on your life.

A word of encouragement from Dilano:

“If I could give an encouragement to the mothers also, I just encourage you, never give up on praying for your child, praying for your children, praying for that son, praying for your  daughter because God will save them and God will rescue them. If you just keep on praying, keep staying on your knees.

Don't give up on them and you will see how God will work wonders within their lives. I also wanna speak to a young man today that's maybe hearing this segment I want to tell you that wanting to fit in and drinking, smoking you know doing these wrong things.

I was also lost I was bound but thank God for his saving power you know that H e rescued my life and I'm just wanna tell a young man that you are way too unique and special to be wanting to fit into that crowd.  If God could do it for me, He can surely do it for you. God bless you.”
