40 Days Prayer and Fasting Devotion – Special forces

Judges 7

Special Forces

And the Lord said to Gideon, “The people who are with you are too many for Me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel claim glory for itself against Me, saying, ‘My own hand has saved me.’ 3 Now therefore, proclaim in the hearing of the people, saying, ‘Whoever is fearful and afraid, let him turn and depart at once from Mount Gilead.’” And twenty-two thousand of the people returned, and ten thousand remained.

“When God draws His sword he never loses”
Gideon was ready and prepared too fight the battle with his army. But God was the one that desired too draw his sword. He saw that Gideon was over prepared, and over prepared with the wrong type of men.

1. Fear vs Faith
There was a separation that took place, God required that all the men that were fearful too turn around because miracles does not happen in the presence of fear. And in order for us too be apart of Gods special forces we have too allow Faith too drive out fear in lives. You can be fearful in an army but you require faith too be in God’s special forces.

2. Attitude
In verse 4 God challenges Gideon too send back more men, “Everyone who laps from the water with his tongue, as a dog laps, you shall set apart by himself; likewise everyone who gets down on his knees to drink”
The ones that lapped from the water was not in a position that was ready for attack at any moment. The ones that drank the water while being on their knees could keep their heads up and their hands on their weapons ready too attack if surprised by the enemy. They had an attitude that was ready for battle, an attitude that’s not easily distracted. Those men was chosen as Gods special forces.

I believe that God is still looking for special forces. Woman and GGs that are not fearful and intimated by the enemy. But woman that are fearless and filled with faith!
His looking for woman and GGs with a attitude that says I’m Ready, I’m Passionate and I’m willing too do whatever it takes! Let’s continue too strive too be that kind of Woman!

40 Days Prayer and Fasting devotion – Passion for the Cause

Passion for the Cause

God has given us a beautiful cause. Reaching out to the treasures out of darkness all around the world. That’s our assignment! For this cause, we need to continue the passion that has been model by our previous generation. It has been the passion of Pastor Sonny, Sister Julie and the pioneers that has brought us to where we are today. The largest inner city ministry in the world.

A perfect example of someone that has protected their passion was the Apostle Paul.
In Acts 26 after being with the journey with the Lord for a while, many different trials and set backs;stand before King Agrippa and testify with passion about the grace of God in his life.
One of the key element to protecting our passion is the gratitude. When you hear the Apostle Paul testifying, he shares about his Damascus road experience.
Remembering the condition when he was in when Jesus stepped into his life. Let our gratitude fan the flame of passion for the cause.

40 Days Prayer and Fasting devotion.

Jeremiah 29:11

UWIM & GG Prayer and Fasting

Yes, of course God knows the plans He has for us. And ultimately He will give us a glorious future. But as we walk out our lives on this crazy earth, let’s remember that the best growth comes through persevering through trials, not escaping them entirely. And when we learn perseverance, we find surprising joy.
Today, in the midst of difficult situations, God wants us to know he has a plan and purpose.
In James 1:2 and Romans 5:3 prepares us as believers for the certainty of trials in this world we living in. So daily we encounter many different personal, spiritual, financial and even ministry problems but with this beautiful scripture God gives us the reassurance that He is in control and that His plan will prevail in our lives.
God wants us to know that as we submit to His plan, He will use us to bless the world around us.
It is important for us to be sure of our hope and where it is found so that we are able to confidently encourage the lost, hurting world around us and ultimately be effective and efficient in what God has called us to do.

This verse tells us that God knows us and that He has good plans for us; that He is sovereignly directing our lives.
His words remind us that God hears our prayers and invites us to seek Him and know Him. Daily God avails Himself to us to meet our needs and for us to draw from His daily supply of strength. By doing this we will be rooted like trees planted at streams of living waters, nourished and refreshed even in the midst of the toughest battle or storm.
During times of uncertainty, this promise is deeply comforting. We cannot see the future, but this verse gives us encouragement and promises that God has a future and hope for each one of us.
God’s plan isn’t always what we thought it was going to be. But God’s plan is always best even if we don’t understand it at the time.
We know though, that in all things, God works together for the good of those who love Him. (Romans 8:28) We know that when God shuts a door, he opens another.

We do not always understand or accept when a door gets closed as many times it will come across as we are failing or a huge disappointment. We often in that moment in time cannot make sense of the reality of things but we can be assured that He is in control and working behind the scenes.
Remember that God is working through every event (whether good/bad) in our lives to make us more and more dependent on Him for everything we need.
We need to realize that God’s plan is not always the easiest in our eyes, but it is always the best.
God sees our future and knows our breakthroughs before it evens enter into our hearts and minds. He sees the beginning of our life and He sees the end, and He sees everything in between.
If we read two more scriptures of the beautiful Jeremiah 29: 12 and 13 God gives us yet another promise “Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.”
God is patiently waiting for us to come to Him. He waits for His children to come and fellowship with Him. This is when God pours out His heart to us and reassures us of His promises for our lives. Daily we as UWIM and GGs should strive to get to know Jesus more and more.

Our Toolkit for Healthy Christian Living:
A steadfast consistent prayer life.
Daily bread from the Word of God.
Worship Habits.
Healthy Personal Devotion.
When God is exalted, He will speak to us through the Holy Spirit who is our helper, comforter and motivating force. Even when we fail in some of our human efforts, we should not give up and trust in Him to be our Strength
Let’s keep our eyes upon Him and not on our problems and on the world, and we will be blessed beyond measure.
Remember that our battles are won in prayer, sin is conquered in prayer, discouragement is defeated in prayer, self becomes less in prayer and God becomes more, GOD IS EXALTED IN PRAYER
May God continue to strengthen and protect each and every sister in Jesus Name, Amen.

40 Days Prayer and Fasting devotional

Joshua 1 verse 9

Be strong and courageous....

There are certain things in the word of God that always come together. It is impossible to speak about fasting without giving prayer an equal importance.

Prayer and Fasting goes hand in hand.

When we as women separates ourselves in prayer and fasting great things happen in our personal lives. God moves in our circumstances and in our favor when we separate in prayer and fasting.

God is calling us as the United Women in Ministry and G.A.N.G. girls to consecrate ourselves in prayer and fasting as His second coming is near......

More women are losing their lives to the things of the world and it is our time to step out, be courageous and have a passion for the cause. If not us then who, if not now then when.

During this 40 days of Prayer and Fasting we will face great challenges, that in the natural might seem impossible. Some challenges will try to stop us from advancing spiritually.

My prayer is that we as United Women in Ministry and G.A.N.G  girls should never take an attitude of defeat and failure, but to be strong and courageous.

Victory Outreach wasn't established overnight. For the ministry to be where it is today took much prayer and fasting.

Prayer and fasting have been two values that were priorities in the lives of our founders, elders and ministry.

Lets take our prayer and fasting to another level for the next 40 days

What is the history of Victory Outreach?

The History

Since their humble beginning in 1967, Victory Outreach grew from one church to a worldwide network of over 700 churches and ministries, with locations across America and in 30 countries from the Philippines to the Netherlands. They have grown into one of the largest inner-city ministries in the world meeting the needs of people from all walks of life.

For over 48 years, Victory Outreach has trained and equipped men and women to reach their full potential in life, whether it is establishing a church, building a career, or growing and nurturing a family.

The following timeline illustrates the growth and development of Victory Outreach International. In 1967, their vision was to reach East Los Angeles. This vision broadened to include California, then all of America, then the entire world.

Reaching Los Angeles

Victory Outreach began by Sonny and Julie by inviting drug addicts from their local community — people they did not know — into their own home. They shared the basic truth of the Gospel: God loves you and that he had the power to change their lives. Victory Outreach was born and began to flourish.

Reaching California

In the early 1970s, members of Pastor Sonny’s church felt an overwhelming sense of destiny: They dared to believe God and stepped out in faith starting Victory Outreach churches across California. They had little financial support, and in some cases, had no friends or contacts in cities they embraced as their own. Faith began to swell in the heart of every Victory Outreach member.

Reaching America

In the 1980s, Victory Outreach emerged to the forefront of mission-focused ministries. Churches were planted across America. Some of the churches began to grow and this success spurred the next daring move: A cross-cultural church planted in Amsterdam, Netherlands and in Mexico.

Reaching the World

From the 1990s onward, it has been a time of explosive growth for the ministry, both in the U.S.A. and abroad. Currently, a full one-third of all Victory Outreach churches planted are overseas which has added a strong international flair to the ministry. However, the primary focus of the ministry continues to be meeting needs within the inner cities of America.

They are poised on the brink of a new era of growth and development. The ministry of Victory Outreach is as exciting today as was the day it was founded over 48 years ago.

Victory Outreach Cape Town is a thriving Church for the honor and glory of Jesus Christ. We are located at 123 Voortrekker rd. (C/O Voortrekker and McDonald) in the Goodwood mall. For more information please call (021) 202- 4850 or email us at [email protected]

Free Christian Drug Rehab

Here are a few testimonies of lives that have been changed by the power of God through the Victory Outreach Christian Drug Rehab.

Hi my name is Charlton Brown and before I came into the Victory Outreach Christian Recovery Home I was a no good drug addict for 12 years of my life. God touched my life and delivered me and I am currently one of the Youth Leaders in God’s Anointed Now Generation at Victory Outreach Church. God is able.

Drug TreatmentMy name is Madanieya Nehata and 8 years ago I was known as a drug addict and menace to society. Caught up in drug addiction I thought that my life would end through an overdose, suicide or murder. I never thought that there was a way out of my life of drug addiction, but God said otherwise. He set me free from drug addiction even though I was Muslim. He restored me to my family whom I ran from and He gave me new hope for life. Now I have a reason to live. Today I serve as a missionary in the city of Pretoria helping other drug addicts experience the freedom of Jesus Christ and share that religion can not keep you from finding the Love of God.

My name is Bronwin Jantjies. I was lost, lonely, hurting, bound to drugs and prostitution for 18 years of my life. Until one day on my way to purchase my Christian Drug Rehabnext fix, I walked into a crowd of Victory Outreach people, evangelizing for ‘Code Red’. I now know that this was God appointed! They told me that Jesus Loves Me, that he died for my sins, and that I do not have to live this life. God is perfect in His Grace. He restored my family, my dignity and removed my shame. Though I do not have much education and no computer training, I am currently assisting with administration in the Rehab Office. Everyday I thank God for using Victory Outreach Ministry for reaching out to people like me and turning us into Treasures Out Of Darkness.

Free Drug Rehab

My name is Aisha Moses. Both my parents were drug addicts. At the age of 6 my dad was sending me to the merchant. At 7 I started smoking mandrax. That same year I was raped. My life went into a downward spiral. Until the age of 15 I was at a reformatory. Thereafter I was in and out of prison, where I read the book “The Purpose-Driven Life” and I felt God’s calling. It was when I came to Victory Outreach Women’s Home that I experienced God’s mercy and grace. Even though I am a graduate of The Home, I am serving as a staff member encouraging others to find their purpose.
